Sebastian Lacy

Sebastian brings extensive Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, and DEI experience to YWCAs’ executive team. Sebastian leads the development, implementation, and oversight of the Center of Race and Gender Equity and Human Resources services and programs.

Prior to his role at YWCA, Lacy most recently served as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager at Carnegie Mellon University for the Mellon College of Science Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Earned his Human Resources Management degree from Point Park University and a Business Administration and Leadership from Holy Cross College at Notre Dame.

Sebastian's expansive 27-year career in Human Resources Management, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility encompasses nonprofit management, social services, healthcare, and higher education. Over a decade of experience in developing and managing progressive and innovative human resources business services, staff engagement, professional development and learning initiatives, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility programming.

A champion for eradicating racism, adverse policies, biases, inequities, and discriminatory practices. A passionate advocate for social determinants of health for women, in underrepresented, marginalized, socioeconomic, and LGBTQIA+ communities. A Change Agent for addressing inequities in gender pay, housing, employment, education, social justice, and public accommodations.
