Diana Gonzalez

Diana’s non-profit career began in direct service with the GrassRoots Community Foundation (GRCF) in Philadelphia. GRCF is a public health and social action organization that seeks to mobilize the community to offset economic disadvantage. During her time with GRCF Diana served as the lead program Health Director and Coach for the LEAVES girls’ program. The program focused on girls in 5th-8th grade, and the significant health risks and obesity rates of girls in and around the Philadelphia public school system. Once her cohort with the Foundation was complete, Diana then continued her non-profit career Northwest of Philadelphia in the Pottstown community in Montgomery County where she has worked for the past six years for several non-profits in the area—beginning with Family Services of Montgomery County as their Bilingual Outreach Specialist for the PEAK Kindergarten readiness program. Diana assisted mainly Latin, Spanish-only speaking families in Pottstown to gain equitable access to education and all manner of resources available to them. Once again, Diana worked closely with the local area School District to advocate for primarily immigrant families and Spanish-only speaking families. As a passionate advocate and proud first-generation Puerto Rican -Latina, Diana has often attributed her passion for advocacy to her Latin roots.

After a rewarding few years with Family Services of Montgomery County Diana then transitioned to the local area non-profit health center Community Health and Dental Care (CHDC) as their Outreach Director. As the CHDC Outreach Director, Diana worked closely with the CEO and the C- Suite team to develop and implement their strategic plan to expand their reach both in the surrounding community and with the area’s community partners. During her time with CHDC Diana also managed the Case Management and Marketing teams.

Diana is now happily the Manager of Equity Initiatives at the YWCA Tri-County Area and serves as the lead project manager for the YWCA’s Pennsylvania Racial Healing Initiative Unite to Heal PA. A Philadelphia native born and raised, Diana studied Communications at LaSalle University and is a certified health and wellness coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City, as well as a Board-Certified Drugless Practitioner with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Diana is a professional advocate committed to bringing her passion for community and healing to the communities she serves.
