Jean brings over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, revenue building, fund raising and advocacy to the position of CEO. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in management studies and went on to earn a master’s degree in cultural communications from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is a frequent community speaker on social and economic justice topics related to the fields of women’s leadership role and education. Jean is active on community boards, including WellSpan York Hospital and previously served on the boards of Rotary Club of York and the York County Economic Alliance. She is also an advisory committee member for the Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies at Penn State York and on the council for the Women's Business Center Organization of the YCEA.
In June of 2017, Jean was honored by the Central Penn Business Journal with a lifetime achievement award during their Women of Influence Awards luncheon. In 2015, she received the ATHENA International Leadership award for her commitment to mentoring young women. She was a York Federal Fellow in 2015 and traveled to Iceland to study gender equity. In 2013 she was recognized by the YCEA as the Workforce/Education Advocate of the year. She lives in York, PA with her husband, Steve Baker.
